About Joshua

I am an attorney living in Evansville, Indiana. My practice focuses primarily on health care law in the context of contract, corporate and business law. I am admitted to the Indiana state bar, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana.

I contribute extensively to numerous print and internet publications. Among them is In the Agora, a group weblog I co-founded. Click here for more on additional writings.

I strive to lead and assist a number of public and civic organizations dedicated to the advancement of learning and knowledge. Currently I am a member of the Board of Trustees for the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library, as well as the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Foundation.

I earned my Juris Doctorate degree from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. There I served as an executive editor on the Indiana Health Law Review, as well as the moot court Order of Barristers. Prior to law school I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and Public Policy from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and graduated from Evansville North High School.

Honors, Awards and Distinctions

  • Up and Coming Lawyer. One of 15 honorees of Indiana Lawyer's 2007 Leadership in Law Awards. Indiana Lawyer is a leading state-wide publication for attorneys. The "Up and Coming" award is bestowed annually upon an attorney practicing five years or less who demonstrates "achievement in law, involvement in the profession, involvement in support of their community, and mentoring."
  • Moot Court Order of Barristers. Admission granted to the top fourth of Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis moot court competitors.
  • Law Alumni Scholar, October 2004. Awarded annually to Indiana Univ. School of Law - Indianapolis students whose academic and extracurricular records reveal a high potential for success in the profession.
  • Cale J. Holder Scholar, October 2004. Awarded annually to students on the basis of academic record and financial need.
  • 1999 Indiana state policy debate champion
  • 2000 Indiana collegiate persuasion champion
  • National Forensic League's highest degree of distinction.
